Project
Angel Wings Family Assistance Center,
Twinsburg, Ohio

Proposed
New Facility
|
|
Program:

A 30,000 SF mixed-use facility for a social service Foundation,
whose mission is to help persons and families that have been
affected by cancer. The facility includes reception area, an
administration department, mammography and a medical clinic,
daycare facility, kitchen, mobile meals, “His Harvest” retail
store and warehouse. As
a reflection of the Foundation's desire to be caring and nurturing,
the design gathers itself informally around a central “lantern”
which gives the facility its identity. The use of familiar
materials, building forms, landscaping and a water element
at the entrance all help to convey a feeling of comfort and
reassurance to people during difficult times. |
Site:

The site shall accommodate not only the current needs of the
facility, which includes parking, deliveries and play area for
the daycare, but shall also anticipate future needs including
flexibility for facility expansions, incorporation of a children’s
day camp and numerous walking paths through open and wooded
areas. |
